Palm Beach
Palm Beach is dotted by water sports concessions, piers, restaurants, shops, and world-class hotels, and also has a walking path skirting the beach to one side, and the hotels on the other. |
|
Hadicurari Beach
Hadicurari Beach (also known as Fisherman’s Huts), just past the Marriott Resort, is a Mecca for windsurfers and kite boarders who are drawn to the area for its shallow waters and constant trade winds—prime conditions their sport. Non-surfers can enjoy the many shaded spots while soaking in all the action, or take a lesson and be up and sailing within one hour! Hadicuari is also the location for the annual Hi-Winds windsurf competition—the largest amateur, flat-water windsurfing event in the Caribbean. |
|
Arashi Beach
Just before the California Lighthouse you will find one of the favorite beaches of the locals. Enjoy the tranquility of the breeze under a palapa or bring along your snorkeling gear and explore the sea. |
|
Boca Catalina and Malmok Beach
Heading north towards the California Lighthouse you will find Boca Catalina—a small, secluded bay where snorkeling is filled with the colorful sights of sea life. Nearby Malmok Beach is a narrow, sandy stretch opposite sprawling homes; its shallow, clear waters make it a popular snorkeling spot. There are palapas to provide some welcome shade, but no other facilities, so be sure to bring your towels, snorkeling gear, and a bottle of water.
